Hosting companies are moving every account off PHP 7.4 and 8.0, because those versions no longer get security fixes. For many sites the switch to PHP 8.1, 8.2 or 8.3 goes unnoticed. For others the site turns into a white screen, shows "There has been a critical error", or loses a feature such as the checkout, a slider or a contact form, and the usual advice is to switch back to the old PHP version. That works for a day and leaves the site on software with known security holes.
We fix it the other way round: your site keeps the new PHP version and the code is made compatible. PHP 8 removed functions that old plugins and themes still call (create_function, each(), curly-brace string offsets), made some warnings into fatal errors, and is stricter about types and arguments. We read the error log, find every place that breaks, and update, replace or patch it: an outdated plugin gets its current version or a maintained alternative, a custom theme or child theme gets its code corrected.
Before anything changes we take a full backup, and we test the parts of the site that matter — home page, forms, checkout, login and admin — on the new PHP version. You get one fixed price after the free diagnosis and pay only after you have checked the site yourself.
For a few days, maybe. PHP 7.4 gets no security fixes since 2022 and most hosts are removing it, so the site will break again — and meanwhile it runs on unpatched software. Fixing the code is the lasting solution.
From $19 for a site with one or two incompatible plugins. Sites with custom themes or many outdated plugins cost more; you get the exact fixed price after the free diagnosis.
Yes. We update or patch what breaks and keep your content, settings and design. If a plugin is abandoned, we suggest a maintained replacement before changing anything.
